Scotchkote 134 is accepted by the Environmental Protection Agency, it also conforms to the requirements of NSF standard 61, for use as a coating in contact with potable water. It is applied hot electro statically. This product meets the requirements of American Water Works Association standards C550 and C213.
This electrostatic coating is accomplished by charging powder particles with high voltage, and spraying them on our evaporator. Curing after electrostatic application is done in an oven at 350°F. for 10 minutes.

This is the finished process recommended for customers with solutions such as sodium chlorides, copper, nitrates, sulfates and other abrasive materials, it turns out this is our average customer, so we have made this product our standard finish.
Note: Repair all pinholes, welds and damaged areas with a Scotchkote 100% solids liquid epoxy coating to a minimum thickness of 12 mils.
